BartonU is the education division of Barton Ct. Productions, an independent entertainment media company. BartonU’s signature goal is to enhance opportunities for the arts, giving schools and educators greater access to better content for those seeking to learn film making, photography, music, and other creative mediums.

BartonU began as a pioneering class known as IS:Journalism, which stands for “Independent Study: Journalism.” After plowing through a fairly thick amount of resistance from the independent school district, CCISD, BartonU and its class at a public high school was born in the small town of League City, Texas. BartonU’s connection to public schools, however, appears to end about the same that its creators graduated.

Scott Lee, Stephen Wolfe, and Travis Hallett are the primary founders of BartonU. Scott Lee and Stephen Wolfe both still run Barton Ct. Productions today, and BartonU has made new goals to create educational products unlike anything students today have ever seen.
